Level 2
Advanced Beginner Weekend
Friday 22 to Sunday 24 October 2027
Everyday vocabulary, the past tense, guided conversation and cultural workshops. For when you can introduce yourself and follow slow, clear Irish. 3pm Friday to 3pm Sunday.
Level 3
Five Days in Irish
Three dates in 2027
Past, present and future tenses, short texts and local literature, with daily classes, workshops and evening activities. Monday 10am to Friday afternoon.
Level 4
Dive Deeper Weekend
Friday 7 to Sunday 9 May 2027
More advanced grammar, wider vocabulary, local poetry, song and history. For when you follow everyday conversations and use all three tenses. 3pm Friday to 3pm Sunday.

Getting there
Gougane Barra is in West Cork, about a 1.5 hour drive from Cork Airport. There is no public transport, so most people rent a car at the airport. Prefer not to drive? I can book a local taxi for you.

Gougane Barra is beautiful and often wet. Bring layers and a waterproof jacket and you'll be comfortable whatever the weather does.
Good to know
Our classroom is upstairs in Gougane Barra Hotel, and there is no elevator. If stairs are a concern for you, email me before you book and we'll talk it through.

Fly into Cork Airport and drive to Gougane Barra. There is no public transport, so most people rent a car. If you'd rather not drive, I can book a local taxi for you.
A light lunch, tea and coffee are included. You're warmly invited to the optional group dinner, which is €55 for three courses. You'll share any dietary needs in a short questionnaire before the course.
Layers and a waterproof jacket. Gougane Barra is beautiful and often wet. Everything else you need for class is provided.
